The series Photographic Compositions was created based on the theory of unistic sculpture developed by the constructivist sculptor Katarzyna Kobro. According to Kobro, the primary task of sculpture is to achieve unity with space. This for her is made possible through mathematical calculations of space-time rhythms. Taking this as a starting point, I attempt to translate Kobro’s theory into the language of photography. By using abstract images taken while wandering around Vienna I create my own architecture-like structures.
